Chili! Chili! Chili!

It’s that time again…TIME FOR CHILI!!!


Here is my recipe for some easy, delicious, slightly spicy chili!

1 lb ground turkey or beef

2 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil

1 cup of diced onion

1 cup of diced green pepper

4 cans of diced tomatoes

1 packet of McCormick Chili Seasoning

1 tbsp of garlic powder

1 tbsp of onion powder

1 tbsp of ground ginger

3 tbsp lime juice (adds a delicious tang!)

3 tbsp chili powder

1 tbsp red pepper flakes

Salt to taste

Brown ground turkey or beef.  Drain any fat off.

In a dutch oven, deep casserole, or large pot, heat oil on medium to medium-high and cook onions and green pepper until the onion is translucent.  Add the ground beef or turkey.  Add all remaining ingredients to the pot.  Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.  I personally serve with shredded cheddar cheese and Fritos Scoops!
